Undisputed: North American Women in the 100+ Club
Since the inception of Kettlebell Sport in North America, significant importance has been placed on ranks. Many people entering the sport look toward “Masters of Sport” as sources of inspiration, as well as credible information. We have talked about this before: as the sport grew, the dilution of ranks in North America was inevitable in order to mainstream its accessibility, but the diversity has blurred the lines between competitive recognition and intramural celebration.
Our objective here is to provide clarity and cultural context when identifying the top female lifters in North America who deserve recognition for their competitive achievements in Kettlebell Sport. It takes more than self-branding social media stardom to get into this kettlebell club.
We believe that hitting 100+ reps with a 24kg kettlebell in any event, Snatch, Jerk, or Long Cycle, is a notable accolade for female lifters in North America at this time. Significant commitment must be made in technical discipline, as well as mental and physical conditioning in order to hit that benchmark in an *AKA / CKA IUKL sanctioned competition (*The AKA / CKA are currently the only organizations in North America with rank charts that align with Master of Sport standards in Russia).
Without further ado, here are the North American women who belong to the 24kg 100+ Club.
