Behind the Scenes: ICKB Photo Shoot
Last Sunday in sunny Northern California (oh yeah, we love home), we hosted a special event at the Ice Chamber. Our very own KettleGuard sponsored an exclusive photo shoot for top Ice Chamber kettlebell lifters with a CMS rank or above.
The historic achievements of these phenomenal women have long been documented, but the truth is most days they train at the gym unnoticed, no glitz or glamour in sight. Of course they were long overdue for a special day of their own; for the first time all ICKB Candidates for MS up to Masters of Sport World Class were brought together in one intimate space specifically created in their honor.
The morning started off with excitement and nervous anticipation. Thanks to our stylish hair and make-up artists, our first group Fallon, Jen, Sayaka, and Jess eased into the joy of the moment.
It was a full-day full-glam affair. Check out Julie B. in the chair with Linds.
Teen CMS lifters, Miranda and Rylee, were thrilled to hug it out with teammates, Melissa and Sayaka.
As the day unfolded, we dug deeper into each phase of the creative agenda with our outstanding photographer, never losing sight of the intention– to honor each one of these talented women in a way that was unique to them.
Oh yeah.. we also celebrated another special event of the weekend: Happy Birthday Surya and Jess!
The most meaningful part of the day was experiencing the chemistry and energy of the ICKB Team. After seven years in the making, the ICKB Team dynamic has grown into a tidal wave of passionate competitive camaraderie. They continue to elevate each other by training, traveling, and competing together.
The picture below of Master ICKB Coach Sara, our youngest CMS Rylee, and our top MSWC Melissa, is an example of the magic of this collective journey– three generations of lifters pictured here!
Without rules or creative boundaries, these women weren’t shy about letting their inner and outer beauty shine through their love of kettlebell sport.
Imagine the total volume lifted by these pretty toes…
